Pericles Alkidis, born in Athens – Greece, 1953. He studied Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Parallel to his professional carrier mostly as a medical imaging engineer, he was seriously involved with photography as a personal need for expression. His first serious attempt to photograph was in 1980-81 with the series “Army portraits” during the period of his military obligations. He is more recognized for his ongoing life project which is broadly entitled “Family Portraits” (1986 – 2016), a conscious autobiographic exploration of personal identity. He has extensively shown his work in solo and group exhibitions. Member of the Photography Centre of Athens since 1987.

Cooper & Gorfer comprises the artists Sarah Cooper (US, SE, 1974) and Nina Gorfer (AT, 1979). Their work centers around themes of illusion, memory and dislocation, illustrating the malleability of identity through layered pictorial collages of the female experience.

The artist duo is known for their distinct hybrid portraits of women and immersive worlds with socio-political undertones. Using a point of departure in photography, their work ranges from physically layered collages with painted and embroidered materials, to photographs of disassembled images in different states of ephemeral montage. The complexities of their subjects are reflected in the process and the fragmentation of the artwork’s surfaces.

Sarah Cooper and Nina Gorfer reimagine the tradition of portraiture by visually examining and deconstructing the narrative layers of those they portray. As much audience as creators, the artists’ own experiences are intertwined with that of the protagonist, resulting in images in which several epochs are simultaneously present. Like art history’s Mannerists and Surrealists, Cooper & Gorfer strain observable reality through a filter of memories, moods and wounds.

Cooper & Gorfer began their collaboration in 2006. They live and work in Sweden. Their artwork has been widely exhibited at museums including: Hasselblad Center, NOMA New Orleans Museum of Art, Nuuk Art Museum in Greenland, The National Museum of Photography Copenhagen, MAK Frankfurt, The Arctic Conference St. Petersburg, and Fotografiska, amongst others. Cooper & Gorfer’s work is included in several private and museum collections, including the National Gallery of Iceland. Alongside their artwork, The artist duo design accompanying monographs. They have been awarded the German Photo Book Award in 2018 for their book I Know Not These My Hands (2017 Kehrer Verlag). Their film, Between These Folded Walls, Utopia, was given honorary mention for the Short Award at Tempo Documentary Film Festival in 2021.

Noemi Comi (1996) is a visual artist and conceptual photographer born in Catanzaro (Italy). Noemi studied photography at LABA (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti) Florence, where she graduated with Honorable Mention. She is actually enrolled at Brera Academy (Milan).
Her photography is constantly evolving and follows a multidisciplinary path. She wants to combine art and science trying to break down any taboo. Her works conform to a well-defined aesthetic, dominated by strong colors and surreal atmospheres.

Christos Dikeakos is a Canadian artist of Greek origin. Born in 1946 in Thessaloniki, where his father was working as an engineer at Ifanet industry, he moved to Vancouver at the age of nine. There, he studied Art and Art History at the University of British Columbia, where he met Sophie, his partner in life ever since. Dikeakos has contributed significantly to the development of the Vancouver Photoconceptualism “school”. In his work, he continually delves into local histories, the conditions of modernity and the socio-economic relations of specific places. His work has been exhibited extensively in Canada and internationally.

During his photographic project Sites and Place Names (1991, 2015) he became the first Canadian artist who photographed North American urbanscapes in order to engage in the pre-colonial histories of the place. The project expanded to Athens, Berlin, Saskatoon, and Thessaloniki. More recently, Dikeakos created the traveling exhibition Pâtisserie Duchamp / Puis-je fumer? (2011) for the McMaster Museum of Art, in which he unfolded his 40-year-old interest in the work and thoughts of Marcel Duchamp. In this project, he combined drawing, collage, sculpture, and photography, drawing on the tradition of the French American artist. Soon after, Nature Morte (2014) gave an in-depth representation of the economic and environmental issues of the Apple Orchards in the southern Okanagan region of British Columbia. Combined with photographic series such as Urban Nomadic Homelessness (2005-2009), it becomes obvious that Dikeakos’ intention has always been to raise issues on the social and historical complexities of the urban inhabitations, and the nature of progress as opposed to the culture of the First People.

Alongside his artistic practices, Dikeakos and his family opened the restaurant Kozmas in 1982 in Vancouver, the first Greek restaurant in the city to seek out authentic Greek cuisine. It became a success and a home for artists as Dikeakos, his wife Sophie and his sister Alexandra brought forward a quality of hospitality that go in line with his stance towards art, its social role, and the indigenous tradition.

In 2000, Dikeakos collaborated with architect Noel Best on a public commission in Vancouver, The Lookout. Today, his work is held in public collections such as the Museum of Canadian Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Canada, Vancouver Art Gallery, the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, and the Vorres Art Museum in Greece.

Alfonso Vidal-Quadras was born in Barcelona in 1975. After graduating in Advertising and PR at the university he turned his eyes to photography. Since then, he is on a constant search and exploration of beauty through simplicity, always trying to apply that aesthetic in his works – mainly beauty, body and portrait- and in personal projects.

He is curious about showing people and scenes in a different way, obsessed with structure, graphic form and the possibility of conveying emotion through still images.

After having lived in London and Munich, he is currently based in Barcelona.

Mark Adams is a photographer whose practice and research is concerned with landscape representation. His work explores the cultural forces that impact upon landscapes as well as the personal narratives that are woven into everyday places through walking.

Over the past 20 years Mark has exhibited in galleries and museums the United States, Europe and the UK. His work appears in Paris Lit Up magazine, Next Level, Der Greif magazine and recently in the American Landscape publication ‘Observations in the Ordinary’. He is member of Millennium Photographers Agency and Senior Lecturer in Photography at York St John University. He currently lives in North Tyneside.

Born in a small village in Piemonte, Bene Vagienna, in the province of Cuneo, Italy, self-taught Mauro Curti came to photography later in life. After working several jobs across sectors, he took a basic course in photography, packed his bags and embarked on a autodidactic research trip across Central and South America in which he focussed on actively exploring the medium of photography.

After several years of traveling through Central and South America, he briefly settled in Buenos Aires from 2015 to 2017 where he expanded photographic studies approaching analogue photography, before returning to Europe in 2017. The end of 2019 brought him back to his home of Bene Vagienne, which would become the protagonist of his project “Volver” (“Come back”). Through his work, Mauro was awarded a scholarship to study a Master’s in Artistic and Documentary photography at the University of Arts TAI (URJC) in Madrid Spain, where he currently lives.

Giacomo Infantino (b.1993) is a visual artist based between Milan and Varese. He obtained the BA in New Media and the MA in Photography both at Brera Academy, in Milan. He also studied abroad at Hochschule Für Grafik Und Bunchkunst, in Lipsia. He’s currently attending the BA in History and Stories of the Contemporary World at Insubria University, in Varese.

The polish photographer Natalia Kepesz lives and works in Berlin. After graduating in cultural studies and art history at the Humboldt University Berlin, she studied photography at the Ostkreuzschule Berlin. She use photography as a means of self-expression –she makes pictures for herself, to identify with hidden qualities of her character, to better understand her reality, and to express her interpretation of the world around her. By photographing, she transforms her own childhood memories. Growing up was always accompanied by the urge to discover something else.

Natalia Kepesz is a World Press Photo Contest 2021 Portrait Series winner (3rd Prize), a winner of Portraits- Hellerau Photography Award 2021 (Residence Prize) and exhibition winner of Belfast Photo Festival 2021 and Photo Israel 2021. Rosa Rodriguez is a Spanish photographer interested in societies and traditions and their influence on humanity.

Her current work focuses on communities that maintain a strong connection with nature in their way of life, and on highlighting the need to conserve our planet’s unique natural habitats.

Therefore, since 2016, she has carried out her work in the Arctic, one of most inhospitable and threatened parts of the world. She has been living alongside Nenets, Sami and Inuit, groups who maintain a strong connection with nature in their way of life.

The White Line won in 2020 Sustainable Price by IWPA, Shortlist Luma Rencontres Arles, and Selected Visa pour l´image Canon development programme, and won Scholarship Roberto Villagraz by EFTI 2019.

Also, has had solo exhibitions in Kursala University Cadiz 2021, Festival Encontros da Imagem 2020, ART PHOTO BCN 2020, and collective exhibitions in Tokyo, Kyoto, Geneva, and Ryad among others.
